The 2010 season is about to begin!

Auditions are scheduled for Sundays, March 7 & 14,

and our concert is set on Sunday, May 23, 2010.

The Inland Empire Youth Wind Symphony is proud to announce the close of its 2009 season.   In its second year, IEYWS welcomed talented students from sixteen Inland Empire high school music programs.

This season’s highlights include:

• the formation of the IEYWS Commissioning Consortium, including several Inland Empire high school music programs
  

• the premiere of Courage for Winds, a new work by Adrienne Albert commissioned by the IEYWS Commissioning Consortium
  

• guest artist Stewart Undem, trombone
• an expanded concert season

Be a part of the Inland Empire’s premiere youth wind band - a performing ensemble of the most talented young musicians from throughout San Bernardino and Riverside counties.  Outstanding wind, brass, and percussion students are invited to audition!

IEYWS is an honors performing ensemble open to all high school wind, brass & percussion players.  Talented young musicians from throughout the Inland Empire are encouraged to audition!

*   Perform high-quality wind literature in a full-instrumentation wind ensemble, surrounding by the best players from area high schools

*   Work with faculty conductors, guest artists, and applied studio instructors in master classes

*   Develop performance & leadership skills to bring back to your music program
