IEYWS auditions will consist of a few major scales, a prepared solo or etude, and sight-reading. For your prepared music, please select one or two pieces that show both your lyrical and technical abilities. There are no required excerpts, solos, etc. Percussionists will be asked to demonstrate ability on snare drum, mallets, and timpani.

Prospective members of the Inland Empire Youth Wind Symphony must be in good standing with their high school music programs (directors will be contacted for recommendations).

Auditions will be held in the Performing Arts Building on the CSU-San Bernardino campus. A campus map and directions can be found here:

Parking enforcement will not be waived for the IEYWS auditions; if you are using the CSU-San Bernardino parking lots, please secure a parking pass when you arrive!
